Now the balm has everything else mentioned above plus one more ingredient. Beeswax. It is a natural wax produced by honeybees and is formed from scales secreted by worker bees from special glands in their abdomens, which they then chew and use to build their hives and store honey. Beeswax has numerous benefits and uses. Beeswax forms a protective barrier on the skin and hair, trapping moisture and preventing dryness. It contains antibacterial agents that can help fight acne and other skin infections.

Argan oil is extracted from the kernels of the argan tree. Argan oil is rich in antioxidants, and its emollient properties deeply hydrate and nourish the skin, making it soft and supple. The anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties of argan oil help reduce redness and swelling associated with acne and skin irritation from dryness.

Safflower Oil

Safflower oil is a vegetable oil derived from the seeds of the safflower plant. It is a natural moisturizer that helps hydrate and nourish the skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties can also soothe skin irritation and reduce redness. The oleic acid in safflower oil can help strengthen hair and make it more manageable. Safflower oil is also known to help stimulate hair growth from already live follicles and reduce dryness of the skin.

Jojaba Oil

Jojoba oil is extracted from the seeds of the Jojoba plant. It is similar in composition to the skin's natural oils, making it an excellent moisturizer. It penetrates deeply into the skin, providing hydration and preventing dryness. It helps balance facial oil production and has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. A lot of other beard oil companies are putting synthetic Vitamin E in their oils, which is actually being proven to dehydrate the skin and hair. The jojoba plant already contains vitamin E, an antioxidant that protects the skin from free radical damage caused by environmental factors.

We are doing research all the time and have found that essential oils for scent in our beard care products are the way to go. There are fragrance oils and essential oils. Essential oils are natural, plant-derived extracts, while fragrance oils are synthetic or blended, designed for specific scents and longevity. We have also learned that some fragrance oils have an alcohol base, which dries out hair. The essential oils are naturally derived from plants (flowers, leaves, bark, roots, etc.) through processes like distillation or cold pressing. So, we try to be as synthetic-free as possible.

The balm and conditioner contain the same ingredients as the oil, with a couple of extras added to it.

Coconut Oil

Shea Butter

The conditioner is made with coconut oil and shea butter. Coconut oil is a rich source of medium-chain triglycerides, which have been linked to several potential health benefits. It moisturizes and hydrates dry skin, reduces inflammation and redness, and protects against microbial infections. Shea butter is a natural fat extracted from the nuts of the shea tree, known for its numerous skin benefits. It deeply nourishes and hydrates the skin and hair, making it soft, supple, and smooth. It forms a protective barrier on the skin, preventing moisture loss and improving skin elasticity.

Our beard oil consists of 3 main carrier oils (Argan oi, safflower oil, and jojoba oil) and essential oils for scent as well as benefits of whatever it is made from.
